What is NASCAR?

1) National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing
2) 3800 pounds of pure adrenaline.
3) Paying $125.00 for a seat you never sit in.
4) Driving 10 hours to get to the track, sleeping in a tent during a pouring rain storm, taking a shower in a building with 5000 of your new closest friends, drinking beer for breakfast, baking in the sun, spending extreme amounts of money for a T-shirt, watching 43 cars drive in a circle for 500 laps, battling traffic to leave the track, driving 10 hours to get back home and telling everyone it was the best weekend you had all year.

Explained in layman’s terms, NASCAR is a fun packed weekend that will last your entire life. You cannot attend a race and simply go home and forget about it. It will stay with you forever. After you have smelled the burning rubber, the fumes, watched a car drive at 200 MPH with 42 other cars all around them, you're hooked. There is no turning back.

As we progress through the year, we will delve more and more into the world of NASCAR. From the beginning of the week at the shop to the checker flag, we will try to cover as much of the sport as possible.
