Consultation: Defining your needs and goals

We will ask lots of questions:

• What are your visions and goals for your company’s Web presence?
• What type of image or mood do you want to project?
• Who is your target audience, and what will they be looking for? What computers/browsers will they be using?
• Do you want simplicity or glitz, or something in between? Do you want to tie in with your existing print advertising?
• What is your budget for building and continuing to maintain the website?
• Desired functions, interactivity, marketing, databases…and more

Proposal: Developing a proposed site structure

We will discuss the following, to determine what you want and need in a website:

• your budget
• time constraints
• the look, feel, image, mood you desire in your website
• the level of complexity (Flash, animation, etc.)
• a preliminary site plan is made, showing sample content, page layout and site structure

Once we agree on all aspects, a contract will be executed. This still leaves room for flexibility in development!

Site Design: The hard work begins, with a great deal of your input!

• A Style Guide is developed, which will contain all the specifications pertaining to the look, content, colors and layout of your website.
• All graphics, photos, tag lines and text are being assembled, written and edited.
• You can usually choose fom different versions of the storyboard or mock-up of the entire preliminary website; decisions about special effects are made.
• Your website begins to take shape!
• Testing for functionality, usability and compatibility begin here and continue until launch.

Website Production: The final fleshing-out of the site.

• Proofreading, testing
• Adding those items missed in preliminary planning
• Testing
• Making sure the site has a cohesive look
• Making sure the site is easy to use…very important!
• Testing
• Confirming with you that you are happy with the final product
• Our Quality Assurance people do final testing, any loose ends are tied up

Launch! Your baby is set free…sort of.

• Final testing is done live, with real users. Feedback is encouraged, and any use issues are resolved.
• Domain name registration; search engine submissions to make sure your site is seen!
• Your website is continually monitored and maintained for a predetermined length of time, as stipulated in the contract.
• Changes can be made as necessary, at any time, at an hourly rate.
